C.A. Stilwell, Jr., MD is a physician who was in Pediatric Practice for 25 years.
He left that practice after an aortic dissection and related surgery. Now he specializes in ADHD (ADD) and related
problems and offers consultations on behavior issues.
He received his BA degree with Honors in Psychology at Vanderbilt University. He obtained his Medical Degree at
Vanderbilt and did his Internship and Residency Training at Vanderbilt, as well. He is Board Certified in
Pediatrics and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt
Children’s Hospital.
He has served on the boards of directors of numerous medically-related organizations and is a past president of
Cumberland Pediatric Foundation. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the America
Association of Christian Counselors, a professional member of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit
Disorder), a member of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and serves on the Board of
Health for Williamson County.
At Charis Consulting Services, he has seen patients since 2004 from over 12 counties in
Tennessee, as well as several other states, and overseas. He has been a popular speaker to numerous parent
and professional groups and has been a volunteer advisor to school nurses. Dr. Stilwell has continued his
education, including intensive postgraduate courses at Harvard, Stanford, and other institutions.
Terri Stilwell, RN is the office manager and nurse at Charis Consulting Services. She and Dr.
Stilwell have been married 38 years and have four adult children and a grandson. Her experience has been
primarily in cardiac nursing, but she has had inpatient and outpatient experience in pediatric nursing.
She is also a gifted and experienced teacher of young children in Bible Study and Sunday School settings.
She provides a warm and personal air to Charis Consulting Services on the phone and in the office.
